vacationnnnn. :)

So, mum and I went down to Galveston for a few days. It was a blasttt. :)
We left Wednesday, David called and woke me up at 7:30, to make sure I was packed and what not. Haha. I of course was all ready to go. (he was at work) and he called me all throughout the morning too. We didn’t leave here till about 1. And David was working in a town that we passed through, but I didn’t know it till AFTER he hung up. :( but eh.
So Thursday we get up and go to schlitterbahn. It was fun, there wasn’t a lot of people there, so it made it even better. But by 1 or so it was getting really crowded. And I was already tired of the place, so we just decided to leave and drive around for a bit. Well we went all the way down the west end of the island and saw all these really insanely pretty and huge beach houses. Then we found a little section of the beach where you could drive your car down to the water, so we went down there and played for a little bit. I caught three hermit crabs! It was so funny, cause the first one freaked me out. And he came out of his shell, so I dropped him, well I found him again and I gave him to mum. Well this hermit crab was very brave, cause he came all the way out when mum had him. And of course she freaked out and dropped him. But it was oh so funny. So then we were sitting there (in the ocean of course) and I found another one. And mom really liked his shell, so we decided to keep him. Haha. And then I found another he was smaller, and I didn’t think there was anything in there..but then he came out..i was like ahh. Hellooo. Haha. So we got a cup and put some sand and water in it. And took it back to the hotel with us. :) and on the way back to the hotel, I took a picture of this one beach house, and sent it to David and asked if we could live in it. And he goes ‘if you buy it for us’ I was like ok. Will do. Haha. that night we ate at Fisherman’s Wharf. It was out on the harbor, and was really cool. We ate outside and beside this huge tall ship, from back in the 1800. And it still sails! Ha. It was cool.
Friday, we went and did this harbor tour thingy. You get on this boat and the guy tells you about all the stuff in the harbor. It was really cool. Stuff you wouldn’t usually see, ya know? We say dolphins too! So then we went and toured that tall ship I was talking about earlier. Its called the ELISSA. It was pretty nefty. :) thennnnnnn, we went to this flight museum. It was AMAZING! I love planes. And this one has fully restored WWII bombers and such. Sadly we didn’t get to get to close to them, except for two. One was the B-52 bomber and idr the other one. But yeah, erin was in heaven needless to say. Haha. And finally we went on this duck tour of the city. The first part of it was on land then we went into the water and back above land. Learned a lot about the city too. For lunch we ate at this restaurant called The Spot, it was alright. It was insanely busy though. And that night we ate taco cabana, I think.
So Saturday we went to the aquarium at Moody Gardens. They had a lot of exotic underwater creatures. Pretty cool stuff. They had penguins and sharks and such. Haha. I touched a starfish too. It was soft actually. So after that we just went out and stayed on the beach for the rest of the day. Then went and cleaned up and went to this restaurant called Gauido’s. it’s been there for a realllly long time, and was pretty good. I had shrimp alferdo. Yum yum.
Anddd that’s about it. :)
We came home today, woke up finished packing up things, checked out and headed home.
